The story behind Airholder
Airholder roof racks were born out of the question of how roof racks could be simpler, lighter, and more practical . Many solutions were too heavy or impractical. Since 2019, we have been developing lightweight, modular roof racks in Germany that can be mounted quickly (without drilling) and function reliably in everyday use and on long trips.

Developed by off-road enthusiasts
Airholder roof racks are born from our experience in quality assurance and engineering/design – developed in Germany. We focus on a precise fit, quick installation (without drilling), modular accessories, and durable, black anodized aluminum . This gives you a lightweight, aerodynamic roof rack that performs reliably in everyday life and on trips – for the love of nature and responsible adventures.
The modular system that grows with you
Today a roof rack. Tomorrow a roof tent. The day after tomorrow an LED light bar.
You decide what you need. No new rack, no workshop, no compromises. The Airholder system grows with your adventures.

Developed in Germany – without compromise
Black anodized aluminum. Not because it looks good (though it does), but because:
- It's lightweight (your vehicle remains agile)
- Remains corrosion-free (salt water, mud, extreme temperatures)
- Lasts for decades (extremely durable material)
Each airholder is developed and manufactured according to German engineering standards. No mass production, no compromises on quality.
The Airholder Philosophy

Assembly without a workshop
2-3 hours, no drilling, no welding.
You shouldn't have to take your vehicle to a workshop. Our clamping system is so well-designed that you can mount the roof rack yourself – with the tools you already have.

Built for the toughest conditions
Desert sand. Salt water. Sub-zero temperatures.
Whether you're driving through Morocco, surfing on the North Sea coast, or camping in Norway in winter – the Airholder will hold. Guaranteed.

Design that doesn't add bulk
Clean. Minimalist. Functional.
We develop roof racks that look like a natural part of the vehicle. Airholder is flat, aerodynamic, and blends seamlessly into the overall design.
Who are Airholder roof racks for?
Vanlife and overlanding: Most of our customers convert their VW T6, Defender or Jimny into expedition vehicles. They need space for a roof tent, equipment and spare parts – without sacrificing aerodynamics.
Weekend adventurers: You don't camp full-time, but every free weekend you're itching to get out? The modular system means: roof tent on Friday, off again on Monday. Simple and quick.
Off-road drivers: Driving through rough terrain at night? Our LED bar mounts are built for just that. Plus: Hi-Lift jack, sand ladders, recovery plates – everything has its place.
Everyday users: Even if you want to transport ski boxes, bicycles or SUPs – Airholder is not only designed for extreme situations, but also makes everyday life easier.
